I've been trying to do every Grizzly task atleast once on this character. I would not recommend some tasks until loot/bosses/spawns are vastly improved.
From what I remember I've done:
Crocs x3: low crowding, goes sort of fast, close to grizzly; easiest and earliest task. Good boss loot for level 15-20 where a bonus 1-2k can really help.
Tarantulas x3: decent spawns near Grizzly, alternative Yalahar spawn for the desperate. Boss loot is usually good but not guaranteed.
Mammoths x3/Badgers x3: a good combo task but walking around on snow under level 50 will drive you to madness and kills the exp rate. Two main spawns but neither are good for sharing. Mammoth loot is hilariously OP on its own and it has the best boss in under 50 range due to current red PoC prices.
Carniphilas x3: decent exp/gold, small but possible chance of looting mount item. Boss is good. Not sure if the griffinclaw flowers in boss room can actually bloom but that might be a nice bonus if you're lucky and have the container. Tiq labs is godly if free. Surface spawns/old cave for the desparate.
Stone Golems x2 (or maybe x3): Didn't know about the Svargrond spawn when I did this but doesn't matter, still crap. Crap mob, crap loot, crap spawns, no boss. Don't do bossless tasks until you've maxed Grizzly Task Points and are getting Boss Points instead.
Gargoyles 1x: Contender for Worst Task Mob coming through. Only decent spawns are svargrond mines or under djinn towers. Maybe Vengoth bridge if you're desparate. Do not recommend unless 40+. No boss either. (FYI they're 2 points, dear Tibiawiki)
Gnarlhounds x3: Crap exp, crap caves, slow floors, long tunnels, crap numbers, crap loot, no boss. Only good thing is it'll probably be free. Rename to Craphounds.
Terramites x3: cool cyclops reskin, nice gold, nice creature products, but all three spawns are too small to share (the zao ones are even too small to hunt solo) which is very bad because they're very botted. Would be nice to have more opportunities to GFB groups to death. No boss. Needs more and bigger spawns.
Apes x3: went really fast with Avalanche. Best boss point farming task for mages under 50. Probably less fun with Knights and Pallys.
Thornback Tortoises x2: strange cave layout. By the time I had found a nice route that looped through some of the GFB friendly larger rooms I was done with the tasks for the level range . No boss. A boss might be cool. Turtle shells are hilariously rare and highly desired. Ignored the bloodcrabs in the deepest tunnels as they're trash.
Finished mino task at 150. Necro just recently. Jynxer (262 Elder Druid, Lobera) said. Also did the High Class Lizards and Stampor (and GS) tasks on my main when I came back to tibia to find Grizzly was revamped. Lizards are lizards. Stampors are just bizzare due to the slow floor that makes them sometimes pathfind. Minos, legendary ruler of Crete; he was the son of Zeus, the king of the gods, and of Europa, a Phoenician princess and personification of the continent of Europe. Minos obtained the Cretan throne by the aid of the Greek god Poseidon, and from Knossos (or Gortyn) he gained control over the Aegean. Tibia wikia's loot statistics show a 10% chance to drop the helmet, although the sample size is only 30, that would be about 200k per horned fox, so overall 400k for killing the horned fox + 30k gp+5k from mino leathers from 5k minos (sample size 174k minos), altoghether you get on average about 430k for completing the task.
How to level a SorcererSorcerers are masters of offensive and aggressive magic. They have only limited healing abilities but can draw from a wide range of attack spells.
Through the ages, they have focused their research on destructive magic to aid them in battle.
When you finish this guide you're:
Level: 57 / 63
Magic level: 40+
If you want to power game, prepare to have a bad magic level or prepare to use loads of resources to raise that magic level.
- 1Part 1 - Level 8.
Part 1 - Level 8.
Make sure you leave Novus with at least 100 GP and basic tools like Rope and Shovel. These tools are rewards from Good Soldier Quest. It's enough to buy the Light spell. Now that you have the Light spell, keep spamming it, never let your mana stay full, or stay in PZ to long. Your magic level is your top priority, so you'll have to get any piece of magic boost you can get.
Equipment.
A mainland is a dangerous place for a sorcerer at lower levels. The attack power of monsters in main is a lot higher than the regular monsters of Novus, therefore we need to get you some equipment first, to shield you against too much damage. If you do not want any help from other players or you really cannot find anyone then this is what you have to do:
If you have an Antidote Rune left over from Novus, it can be really helpful in the Scale Armor Quest.
If not, you might be able to buy one from a player for a few GP. Do this quest first to boost your arm!
Search for one person in Thais or ask a friend to help you with the Thais Lighthouse Quest. The combination of the shield and club are just perfect to start with. The shield is 25 defense so, it's a HUGE improvement, compared to your last shield. You now also have one of the best club starter weapons you can get. If both of you are to a low level to kill the cyclopses, then you might just run for it, and pray not to lose your rewards upon death.
Or you can skip the Thais Lighthouse Quest and make a Battle Axe Quest in sewers of Thais. But you need a Pick and a Rope first. Take a Rat task and collect 50 gps, enough for buying a Pick (you should have Rope already, from Novus).
So you have an armor now, a shield and a good weapon. Go to Radek and take your first task! Choose Rat Task or Snake task. The reward for these tasks is 2,000 gp and 4,000 gp, which will be enough for you to buy some spells, equipment and to cover travel expenses.
Whilst you are in Thais, go to Frodo's Inn and if there is any Candelabrum then take it and equip it on Arrow Slot. This item is a permanent light source unless you extinguish the fire.
Now travel to Garrogat which will cost 40 gp, and make it your hometown.
Take the stairs and go to NPC Ina and buy Scarf and Leather Boots from her. If you have some cash left and you skipped Thais Lighthouse Quest, buy Clerical Mace or Barbarian Axe from Risdarick.
Wonderful! Good job! Let's get your last piece of armor. Head to the Garrogat Troll Cave and rush the Troll Cave Quest.
This should be your Equipment now:
Armor | Shield | Weapon | Boots | Helmet | Necklace | Legs |
Part 2 - Level 8 to 20.
Go to Venore to take the next task. Task NPC is located above the depot. Take a Troll or Goblin Task. Also don't forget to buy some basic spells such as:
You should also buy a backpack of Blank Runes.
What you want to do now is to make Fireball runes while doing a task. Head to the part of Garrogat where you found Brass Legs, and start hunting Trolls or Goblins (north from Trolls)
Consider buying Ultimate Healing or Ultimate Healing Runes (from players or rune shop) if you're very delicate for PK attacks.
Once you finished Troll and Goblin task, it's time to take a Rotworm task. This one will give you a nice experience boost.
You can hunt Rotworms in Garrogat or in Osaris. You can kill them using your melee weapon if you are patient enough or just shoot them using Fireballs you made.
After these tasks you should be around Level 18. Travel to Venore and buy Summon Creature spell. Take a Skeleton task and go to Ice Tomb in Yehsha.
Summon one of these to help you hunting:
- Minotaur Archer (if you are Level 20 already)
Part 3 - Level 20 to 27.
You're level 20 now that means 2 things: 'Desert Quest and Promotion'. There is no way you will have enough money to buy promotion so the Desert Quest will help you with that. It's really difficult to find a team on this server so don't expect it to early. Try to complete the Desert Quest between level 20 / 25. You really need to get the mana boost from it, as your magic level is probably still really weak.
Change your hometown in Osaris, and start hunting rotworms in one of the caves. Keep selling gfbs, and use torches.
I assume you have done the Desert Quest before you reached level 25. Buy promotion as fast as you can. Also buy the spells Invisible and Strong Haste as fast as you can.
Hunt rotworms again, this time your mana will go faster so the time you need for a backpack of gfbs will be shortened a lot. This means you will gain money much faster than before. Make 2 backpack of gfbs and sell them both. You'll have around 5k now.
I strongely disagree on selling gfbs since it's the main resource of your way of leveling sooner or later. These were the last 2 backpacks of gfbs you'll ever sell. You're gonna stack all of your runes now. All your gfbs will be stored in your depot. 20 backpacks of gfbs is your goal from now on. You have around 5k so you won't be in a danger of not being able to buy blank runes anymore.
On level 25 you can consider to use a candle in your arrow slot as it provides you with light 24/7. The only problem is, that it's 50 oz. So either, keep using torches or use a candle, it's your own decision.
Get level 27 on Rotworms now, so you can buy the spell Summon Creature for 2000 gp. I promise you, you will never have to hunt Rotworms again after this.
Do the The Postman Missions Quest while making gfbs.
Mintwallin
- Now you will hunt Minotaurs, Minotaur Archers, Minotaur Guards at Mintwallin. Mintwallin is a Gold Mine. All your money problems will be gone since mintwallin gives you lootbags worth 10k / h.
- Buy a fishing rod and take a lot of backpacks of blank runes (Depending on the time you will stay) with you. DON'T FORGET TO BUY A PARCEL. Always take one with you!
- When you get in mintwallin you'll have to rope up the minotaur mages at the rope spots to the east. Start fishing, because you probably won't have much food left. (Do not move west to far, you might lure minotaurs). Regain your mana.
- Summon a monk, wait for mana again and summon your next one.
- Let the monks lure the mino's slowely and drop the valuable loot on the ground.
- When you're done, make a big lootbag and sell everything in Yehsha and Osaris
Part 4 - Level 27 to 35.
Get level 35 hunting (only) at mintwallin. Make your first mintwallin hunt short, as you're gonna buy 8 life rings to boost your magic level. Hunt there around 2 hours then return. Use the life rings to make runes at mintwallin, stack as many gfbs as possible. Keep buying life rings, from now on. They are such a good magic level booster.
At level 35 you should have around magic level 35. You'll have between 30 and 60k and 20 / 30 backpacks of gfb.
Buy 10 backpack Heavy Magic Missile Runes and 10 bp of FireBalls.
Buy the spells: Intense Healing, Antidote, Sudden Death Rune, Magic Rope, Magic Shield and Energy Strike.
Buy a backpack of Intense Healing Runes and make a bag of sds with life rings.
Part 5 - Level 35 to 50.
You will hunt with runes for the first time now. This will take some skill but you'll get used to it after a while. Set your hotkeys to that what makes you feel comfortable with.
Take 10 backpacks of Great Fireballs, 5 backpacks of Heavy Magic Missile and 5 backpacks of Fireballs with you.
Go to the Dream/Madness tomb -3, and get level 42 / 43 with the runes you took with you. Make Lootbags and sell everything. You'll get +/- your runes back, in money.
Get level 50 using the rest of your runes
Sell your loot.
Make a backpack of SD, and buy all your runes back you used in the tomb. Do the quests: Bright Sword Quest, Crusader Helmet Quest, Deeper Vilias Quest, Black_Knight_Quest. Ask your friends to help you with the first 3. Don't solo them. The black knight quest can be solo'd however. Use the Sudden Death Runes and some gfbs to contribute in the quests. Sell all items and buy Boots of Haste.
Part 6 - Level 50 to 60.
You're out of money. Go to Mintwallin again and get 100k, while making gfbs all the time.
Buy runes and life rings.
Get level 60, options:
Dwarf Guards, bad exp ( get your runes back, sometimes with a little profit, sometimes with a little waste ).
Dream/Madness Tomb: Best exp ( Waste unless you are a lucky looter ).
Blood Tomb: Average exp ( Waste )
PoH: average exp ( really relaxing, sit on the mountain and wait for full spawn and then GFB up to 10 cyclops at once )
Sell your lootbags
You're level 60 now, do the quests: Banshee_Quest, Medusa Shield Quest. You should have magic level 40+ now.
Sell all of the items except the blue robe and boots of haste and buy all spells. Spent the rest of your money on runes and life rings
Your Equipment now.
Armor | Legs | Helmet | Shield | Boots | Necklace |
Mino Task Tibia Fibula
Part 7 - Level 60 +
You are a true mage now. Keep repeating mintwallin if you're running out of runes. Don't go Blood Tomb or Dwarf Guards anymore after level 60 since the exp a / hour is nothing compared to the Dream/Madness Tomb. You can also start to hunt with other players really well. Going VDL (Venore Dragon Lair) with loads of HMM's can be some nice exp too. You'll find your own places soon enough :-)
From now on keep leveling like this, and soon enough i'll see you in the top 10.
